01The performance operating system for former athletes who now run companies.

SAME GAME. DIFFERENT FIELD.

Back when you competed, you were at your best with a coach in your ear, pushing you past what you thought you had. Now you run the company, and that voice is gone. Nobody tells you when your own push runs out. It just does. I'll give you the system to build a business that wins without you in the room.

02The question you don't say out loud

"WHY CAN'T I LET GO
OF THE BALL?"

You've never had a motivation problem. You outworked everyone to get here. That's exactly why you're stuck. The same work ethic that built this company is now the ceiling on it. And you feel the cost everywhere.

  • You check your email before your feet hit the floor in the morning. The business owns your day before you do.
  • You've rehearsed the same hard conversation with an employee for months and still haven't had it.
  • You work 60, 70, 80 hours and call it dedication.
  • You can't take a week off without someone in the business needing you every single day.
"If the business can't run without you in the room, you haven't built a business. You've built a trap."

Now picture the other side. You take a week off with your family, and the business has its best week in company history. And the best part is you're fully focused on your family that entire week, not sitting next to them with your mind back at the office and your thumb on your email.

This isn't a hustle problem. It's a system problem. And it has a fix.

03The system

THE FOSS METHOD

Motivation wears off by Wednesday. A system doesn't. The FOSS Method is built in the language you already speak, and it stands on four pillars: EDGE, STANDARD, STRUCTURE, and LEGACY. Each pillar builds on the last. You don't skip ahead. You earn it. And each one ends with a commitment: the line you sign up to live by before you move on.

PILLAR 01

EDGE

Get your competitive edge back: the drive and daily discipline that built the company, firing again, so you lead like a competitor instead of a tired operator.

The EDGE Commitment"Handle the hard things now so I don't pay for it later."

PILLAR 02

STANDARD

Get a standard your team holds even when you're not in the room, and the words to enforce it without blowing up the relationship.

The STANDARD Commitment"The standard holds whether it's convenient or not. Starting with me."

PILLAR 03

STRUCTURE

Get a business that runs without you. Every role owned, every number tracked, one plan the whole team executes.

The STRUCTURE Commitment"I built the system. Now I let it run."

PILLAR 04

LEGACY

Get leaders who carry your standard into rooms you'll never enter, so the company outgrows you instead of depending on you.

The LEGACY Commitment"My job isn't to be the best player. It's to build the best team."

By the last pillar, the standard lives in your team, not in your head. That's the whole system. Everything I teach is built on it.

YOU DON'T HIRE ME
TO FEEL GOOD.

You hire me for results. Results come from a standard that holds when you're not in the room, and a system your business runs on without you. I work with former athletes who now run companies, because the instincts that made you dangerous in your sport are the same ones we put back to work.

05Before we go any further

ARE YOU TOUGH
ENOUGH FOR THIS?

Most coaching makes you feel good for a weekend. This isn't that. I'll ask you to do the hard things you've been avoiding. Name the underperformer, hold the line, hand off the ball, raise the standard on yourself first. Want a hype guy? I'm not him. Go find one. Want the truth and a system to act on it? Keep reading.

This is for you if
  • You can set your ego down to become the leader your people need.
  • You want to be coached hard, called out straight. That kind of coaching only comes from someone who's in your corner.
  • When you say you'll do it, you do it. When you set a standard, you hold it.
This is not for you if
  • You think you're the smartest person in the room, so the problem is always someone else.
  • You can't take being called out. You want applause, not the truth.
  • You'll nod at the truth and do nothing. All talk, no reps.

I coach the way I was coached: direct, honest, no soft landings. But I can't want it more than you.

06How you install it

ONE SYSTEM.
FOUR WAYS TO INSTALL IT.

The FOSS Method is the foundation of everything I teach. What's below is just four ways to put it in your business. Do it yourself, do it with a group, do it with me, or bring your team to me and we install it together. Start with your free Score. Then go as deep as you're ready.

08Before you ask

QUESTIONS,
ANSWERED STRAIGHT.

Is this actually for me?

If you used to compete, and now you run the company, and the truth is most of it still runs through you, then yes. Here's the part nobody says out loud. You got good because someone pushed you. A coach who held the standard and called you out when you dropped it. That coach is gone. Now you run it alone, pushing yourself, and you're stuck. This is for you if you're the bottleneck, honest enough to admit it, and you still want to be coached hard.

Who is this NOT for?

Three leaders, honestly: the one who wants everyone else fixed but will not hold the standard personally, the one whose company needs cash triage before it needs a system, and the one who plans to hand this off and check in once a month. I have watched each of those stall the work, and no tool fixes them. If any of that is you right now, do not book a call. Take the free Score first and use it to fix the real problem.

Do I need to have played college or pro sports to work with Matt?

No. You need an athlete's mindset: internally competitive, driven, and still willing to be coached hard. I focus on former athletes because they lived those things in sports, but I've worked with plenty of leaders who never played college or pro sports and had that same wiring. If you went deep in band, chess, or anything that demanded real dedication, discipline, and passion, you have what I call athlete's DNA. That's what I coach.

How is this different from other business coaching?

Most coaching treats you like a generic executive and hands you frameworks that sit in a binder. I only work with former athletes, because the way you were wired to compete is the thing we build on, not the thing we coach out of you. And we don't just talk strategy. We install a performance operating system into your business so it runs without you in the room. If the business can't run without you, you don't have a business. You have a trap. We fix that.

What is The Score?

A free leadership assessment. Takes about five minutes. You answer a short set of questions and get a read across five areas, plus the pattern you tend to lead by. It's Game Film, not a grade on you as a person. It shows you where you really stand right now.

What does this cost?

It starts free: The Score costs nothing and takes about five minutes. At the top, working with me one-on-one is $37,500, by application, because it is not the right fit for everyone and I would rather say that up front. There are real steps in between, wherever you are right now. No surprise pricing, no upsell maze. See how to work with Matt for the full lineup →

How much time will this take?

The whole point is to buy your time back, not eat more of it. The Score is five minutes. The book is a weekend. The course runs on your clock. The full install is three focused days with your team at my office, replacing months of holding it all together.
